Review of the United Weavers China Garden Opus Auburn (050-33858) Area Rug

This is a really great rug with a contemporary design. I bought it for a living room in my home, and the dark colors in the rug go very well with the wood furniture, but has enough light colors that it doesn't make the room feel dark and claustrophobic. The Olefin construction is very durable and holds up well to pets and vacuuming, but the trade off is that it is not very soft. I don't consider this a draw back though. The stitching of the pile is quality and is tightly woven, and the length of the rug fibers are about 10mm tall. (fairly thick)

A few things to consider: the coffee colored areas of the rug are actually more of a deep red than a coffee/brown color, the curves in the design of the rug are not as sharp as the curves in the picture (the lines are staggered), and some areas in the rug where the colors fade from one into another are choppy. The best example of this are in the gray half circle (on the auburn colored rug): rather than actually being gray, it is a checkered black and white half circle that looks gray from far away. Again though, these are only minor detail differences and are not defects, and they do not detract from the value or the style of this rug.
